Top Management of the Airline, seen upon arrival of the inaugural flight at Saidpur Airport
: Regent Airways has started regular operations to from January 22. The 50 seater Bombardear Dash-8-Q300 has been deployed in the route.
Two daily flights are being operated between Dhaka and the North Bengal town of the country. The first flight leaves Dhaka at 9 am and reaches at 10.10 am. The return flight will leaves at 10.30 am to reach Dhaka at 11.40 am. The second flight departs Dhaka at 3 pm and reaches at 4.10 pm. The return flight reaches Dhaka at 5.40 pm leaving at 4.30 pm.
Dr Najmul Ahasan Kalimullah, Vice Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University was the chief guest at a ceremony organised at Airport to mark the inauguration of the flight. Chief Executive Officer Lieutenant General (Retd) M Fazle Akber, Chief Commercial Officer Hanif Jakaria of Regent Airways, Manager of Airport Shahin Ahamed was present among others on the occasion.
All inclusive one way fare has been fixed at Tk. 2,699 and return fare at Tk. 5,398. Regent Airways plans to operate to Jessore and Sylhet from February. The airline besides presently flies to Chittagong and Cox's Bazar in the domestic sector.
Dammam- the new destination
Regent Airways has announced to start flight to Dammam of Saudi Arabia from February 22. Initially four weekly flights will be operated from Dhaka on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday by Boeing B737-800. The aircraft has 8 seats in Business Class and 168 seats in Economy Class. The airline will offer bus service between Riyadh and Dammam for the passengers.
Dammam is Regent Airways' eighth international destination and third in the Middle East.
