No professional again, Biman gets a new board of directors

Dhaka : Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited, the national flag carrier has got a new board of directors and once again, dominated by bureaucrats and without any airline industry professional.
On January 24, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, reconstituted the 13-member board with Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari, BBP, ndu, psc (Retired) former Air Chief remains as the Chairman.
Other members of the newly constituted board are:
- Senior Secretary, Prime Minister's Office-Director; - Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, NDC, psc, - Chairman National Board of Revenue, Dhaka-Director; Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism-Director; - Secretary, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance-Director; - Rear Admiral (Retd) M. Khurshed Alam, NDC,psc, - Secretary Maritime Affairs Unit Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Director; - Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operation & Training)-Director; - Engineer-in-Chief, Bangladesh Army-Director; - Chairman, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh-Director; - Md. Siddiqur Rahman, President BGMEA-Director; - Barrister Tanjib-ul Alam, Lawyer, Bangladesh Supreme Court-Director; - Noor-e-Khoda Abdul Mobin, FCA, Managing Director, Emerging-Director, Credit Rating Ltd.; and - Managing Director and CEO, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited-Director.
Two of the directors of the board-No-2 and No-5-are new entrants. They replaced two other bureaucrats.
