“The UK is going to lift the direct cargo flights ban from Bangladesh shortly”

Dhaka: The direct Dhaka-London cargo transportation is expected to resume shortly as Britain is going to lift the ban, it had imposed on Bangladesh in March 2016.
“…we are on the verge of resumption of the direct cargo flights from Dhaka,” Boris Johnson said in a brief statement after his meeting with Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the state guest house Padma on Friday night.
He arrived in Dhaka Friday afternoon on his maiden visit to see first-hand the plights of the Rohingya refugees before going to Myanmar, where persecuted Muslim minority people come from.
Bangladesh was expecting an announcement on the lifting of the British ban on direct cargo transportation from Dhaka which was imposed in March, 2016.The British Government suspended those flights from Shahjalal International Airport on security grounds. Bangladesh later hired a British company to improve the security mechanism.
