Dhaka : The private carrier US-Bangla Airlines celebrated its 2,000 days of successful operations on January 6.
On the occasion, Mohammad Ab-dullah Al Mamun, Managing Director of US-Bangla ex-pressed his gratitude, in a press statement, to all concerned, including regulatory authorities, passengers, staff members, media and other stakeholders for their continuous support and cooperation.
The airline started its journey on July 17, 2014 with two 76-seater Dash8-Q400 aircraft and the maiden flight was to Jashore.
In less than two years, the carrier started its international operations by launching flights to Kathmandu.
The airline's fleet today consists of eleven aircraft - four Boeing 737-800, four brand new ATR72-600 and three Dash8-Q400.
US-Bangla currently flies to all major domestic destinations as well as to international destinations such as Kolkata, Chennai, Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Guangzhou.
The airline holds records of over 90 per cent on-time performance and carrying 40 per cent of the total domestic traffic.
Today, the carrier operates on an average 400 flights a week in both domestic and international destinations.
Special features of the airline services include online booking system, home delivery, luggage delivery within 15 minutes for international flights, help desk for wage earners at the airport, SkyStar frequent flyer program, 20 per cent discount on air fares for senior citizens and 10 per cent for defense officials and golfers.
US-Bangla Airlines has 30 sales offices within the country and 10 abroad. The airline has over 2,500 travel agents in and outside of the country.
The carrier has already received numerous awards for its outstanding services, including Domestic Airline of the year 2015 by The Bangladesh Monitor and PATA Award 2016 by Pacific Asia Travel Association.
Offers special winter holiday packages for Thailand
The private carrier US-Bangla Airlines is offering exclusive winter holiday packages to Thailand's Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Krabi effective from January 11 to March 30.
The packages start from BDT 22,990 for two nights three days in Bangkok, BDT 29,990 for four nights five days in Bangkok and Pattaya, BDT 41990 for four nights and five days in Bangkok and Phuket and BDT 42,990 for four nights and five days in Bangkok and Krabi.
These include return air tickets on Dhaka-Bangkok-Dhaka, Bangkok-Phuket-Bangkok and Bangkok-Krabi-Bangkok routes, accommodation at three-star deluxe category hotel, breakfast and others.
US-Bangla is also offering attractive holiday packages to Kolkata, Chennai, Guang-zhou, Kuala Lum-pur and Singa-pore.
The holiday packages of the airline are available for at least two persons together.
Customers can now purchase air tickets or travel packages for both domestic and international destinations through cards from any sales office of US-Bangla Airlines.
US-Bangla has signed agreements with BRAC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, City Bank, United Commercial Bank, Prime Bank, Premier Bank, Mutual Trust Bank, Eastern Bank, Meghna Bank, Midland Bank, Jamuna Bank, NRB Bank, Dhaka Bank, Dutch Bangla Bank, Bank Asia, Southeast Bank, National Credit and Commerce Bank, NRBC Bank, Shahjalal Islami Bank, Social Islami Bank, Shimanto Bank, Lankabangla Finance and others.
According to the agreement, credit or debit cardholders of the above-mentioned banks can avail discounts on air tickets, three or six months EMI facility with zero interest and gift voucher, among others.
US-Bangla operates four flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) to Bangkok in a week.
