Dhaka : haltrip.com, a Sabre and Amadeus certified air ticket and hotel reservation site, started its journey in February, took office in May 2017 and started providing services in July 2017.
We are transforming the travel industry with technology through a platform designed by ourselves, Tajbir Hasan, CEO, haltrip.com said.
We have brought GDS and non-GDS airlines onto a single display place making "sales-booking" easy.
One click of the mouse and five systems are available on one screen.
It is not time-consuming for travel agencies as before; rather it's timesaving, leading to high customer satisfaction.
Tajbir Hasan said, haltrip.com is a one-stop solution, catering mainly corporate and B2B travel agencies now. We are preparing our team for serving B2C by the end of this year. We are at present building up relations with airlines and trade partners.
On the country's future potentials, he said our growth has been more than expected. There is demand in Bangladesh market and opportunities also.
Haltrip has filled the gap between airline distribution and the client communication gap. Business growth has been more than expected. It's because of clients' acceptance, he said.
Published fare, private fare and negotiated fares are all available in the system. So, the clients are getting the best deal.
Haltrip.com CEO said we are covering Dhaka city now, not even the outskirts of the city. We already have two more offices in the city at Uttara and Motijheel.
We have plans to offer our services up to the rural level. We hope to open offices in Chittagong, Sylhet, Jessore and Syedpur within July. We are preparing ourselves to serve expatriates who live in US and Canada.
Bangladesh market is big, our business is growing by 200 to 200 per cent every month. There cake is big enough for all to share.
Tajbir Hasan said, haltrip.com is open 24x7, with 57 staff working 24 hours in three shifts in a state-of-the-art office filled with natural light. By end of this year or early next year he plans to raise the number of staff members to 150.
Speaking about the technology platform, Tajbir Hasan said once s/he finds what s/he wants through the click of the finger, it will let her/him to choose, book, issue and print tickets.
He said, we are the proud partner of 350 airlines and 1,20,000 hotels and a dedicated team is working to expand the partnership. We also offer inbound and outbound packages, airport check-ins and transfers, visa assistance, corporate packages and holiday packages.

He is optimistic of travel growth as the country's economy is growing and more and more sectors, including travel industry, is digitised.
Tajbir Hasan, who passed out from BGMEA Institute of Fashion and Technology, finds its curriculum very realistic. After serving Bashundhara Media as Web Editor for two years and after a stint in Dubai, he returned to co-found ventures like Food Panda, TravnX and Blue Sky Holidays.
I was the first Country Manager and first employee of Food Panda. I slowly built up a team of 40 people, he said.
But his passion was facilitating travel through quick air ticket and hotel bookings. This resulted in launching haltrip, which Tajbir Hasan terms as "Bangladesh airfare marketplace."
