Biman launches direct flights on Dhaka-Delhi route

Dhaka : Biman Bangladesh Airlines will resume flights on Dhaka-New Delhi-Dhaka route from May 13.

The national flag carrier will operate the 162-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the route with three flights a week - initially on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The flights will take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka at 3:00 pm and reach Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi at 5:20 pm (Bangladesh local time). The return flight will depart from New Delhi for Dhaka at 6:20 pm (Indian local time).

The price of an Economy Class return ticket on Dhaka-Delhi-Dhaka route with one-month validity has been set to USD300 and the same ticket with on-year validity will cost USD320 (tax exclusive).

To celebrate the launch, Biman has announced 15 per cent discount on the ticket fare valid till May 30.

Among all local and foreign airlines operating from Dhaka, the state-owned carrier is about to become the only airline to operate direct flights on Dhaka-Delhi route.
