Long Beach Hotel's newly-appointed Group GM Siddiqui says

Both Dhaka, Cox's Bazar properties will implement several out-of-the-box events, promotions

Dhaka : Long Beach Suites Dhaka and Long Beach Hotel Cox's Bazar plan to conduct regular sales blitz in four to five key Indian cities to attract both leisure and business travel from the neighbouring country.

Ankur Salim Siddiqui, the new Group General Manager, who will be managing both the properties, mentioned focus would be primarily on introducing unique food festivals and food pop ups, featuring Chefs from different regions of India.

As Group General Manager, he had the opportunity to experience Cox's Bazar property. He said, "Long Beach Hotel Cox's Bazar being the market leader, will keep striving to maintain its high standards, and it is always good to see a busy hotel and even better to see the Coffee Shop Café 14 filled with expats, we surely would be encouraging and promoting traditional form of entertainment for the in-house guests, thereby engaging the customers with activities which they have never seen before."

Ankur Salim Siddiqui said, apart from giving attention to our business aspect, we'll be more employee focused - engage the hotels' associates to keep their morale high. We are in the people's industry. Therefore, our key to success is People - both internal and external. By investing rightly in our internal customers to ensure they are well trained, motivated and are happy to cater to our external customers will ensure retaining of business. The main responsibility is also towards our Internal Customers - Focusing on Learning and Development modules for our staff and staff engagement programmes to increase motivation and growth, would be the primary objective - thereby making both the hotels a fun place to work.

This summer, the temperatures are going to "dip" as Long Beach Suites and Long Beach Cox's Bazar are launching some exceptional "Monstrous Shakes." Summer Shakes Promotion will showcase some of the monstrous shakes that include Oreo Milk Shake, Kit-Kat Shake, Mango Museli Shake, Snickers Shake and many more.

Ankur Salim Siddiqui said, our primary feeder market is mostly South East Asia, America and Europe. Besides India and other countries in South Asia, we'll promote the two properties in Europe. As a Group General Manager my role is to increase the Group's brand awareness in international markets by participating in various tourism trade fairs such as ITB and WTM to name a few and also to use Digital Media to connect globally with our target audience.

Prior to his present assignment, he worked as the General Manager, Aauris Hotel, Kolkata's pre-opening team (December 15, 2014 till June 30, 2017).

Ankur Salim Siddiqui is no stranger to Dhaka. As Sales Manager at the Park Hotels Kolkata and as Director Sales at Hotel Hindusthan International, Kolkata, he was responsible for the Dhaka market and frequently visited Dhaka and Chattagram. He said his Dhaka posting is a great opportunity to renew those contacts.

Born in Kolkata, his father Capt. Aziz Ahmed Siddiqui a retired Airbus A320 Commander from Air India and Trans Asia Airways, his mother a retired Senior Cabin Crew of Air India, while his wife worked for Emirates as Cabin Crew Business Class and presently, with Indigo as Senior Cabin Crew.
