Shinepukur Suites : All suite hotel with wonderful panoramic views

Dhaka: Shinepukur Suites in Dhaka overlooks the Hatirjheel Lake in front and Botanical Park on the other side of a prominent location connected to Tejgaon Industrial Area in the east and diplomatic western part of Gulshan along with uncountable glamorous panoramic views of the capital. They have four category of suites: Studio Suite for a single person with a semi-double bed, Premium Suite for two persons with queen-size bed and roadside balcony, Executive Suite with king-size bed and lakeside balcony, and Royal Suite that has two bedrooms, one kitchen, one living room and one dining, like a service apartment. The latter also features three balconies. In total, the hotel has 32 rooms including three Royal Suites.

The Studio Suite costs USD 150 per night, Premier Suite USD 200, Executive USD 250, and Royal USD 350. Also the rent for the conference hall is between BDT 15-20 thousand. The price of food for events start from BDT 800-2000 per person.

Among the in-house facilities, the hotel offers a fully equipped international standard gym. "We are planning to establish a steam sauna and a swimming pool at the rooftop with BBQ soon," Saha added.

The all day dining restaurant is currently offering a buffet lunch offer priced at BDT 2000 for three persons and buffet dinner at BDT 2400 for three persons. The restaurant is continental based. They serve Thai, Chinese and local. On weekends, they serve special seafood buffet which includes BBQ and grilled items for both lunch and dinner. Also if anyone wants to go for an a la carte menu, the hotel accommodates that too.

Moreover, amid the pandemic, the hotel prefers the breakfast buffet to be served in the room. Speaking of which, the hotel strictly adheres to COVID-19 prevention protocols. They have a disinfection tunnel in-place at the gate. Body temperatures are checked upon arrival. Also, hand sanitisers are placed all around. Notably, the entire hotel premise including the rooms are routinely fogged, deeply cleaned and disinfected. And masks are provided to the guests by the hotel itself.

Asked about the current room occupancy, Biswajit Saha mentioned it to be 40 per cent. Also to maintain social distancing at the F&B outlets, they are aiming to keep 60-65 per cent occupancy. "We are hoping, as soon as the international flights fully get restored and return back to what it was in the pre-pandemic era, we will be able to cover an room occupancy of 80-90 per cent," expressed Saha.

Since Shinepukur Suites is totally a service and business oriented property, the lion share of its room guests are business travellers. In this time, they are mostly local. Also, to further attract guests amid this difficult time, the hotel is offering a package of "one night free with two nights stay" for selected cardholders. It will be valid till December.
