Dhaka : The three-day-long TRESemmé Bangladesh Fashion Week 2019, the biggest fashion event of the country, was held from February 23-25 at International Convention City, Bashundhara.
TRESemmé believes this event is a talk of the town in the Bangladesh fashion industry. The creative partner for the event was Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB).
TRESemmé Bangladesh Fashion Week 2019 showcased the work of 19 Bangladeshi and 11 international designers from Asia for three days. TRESemmé also worked with top hairstylists of Bangladesh to set the hair style trends for 2019.
On the first day of the event the main hairstylist was Afroza Parveen. The designers were - Paromita Banerjee (India), Humaira Khan, Riffat Reza Raka, Sarah Karim, Sadiya Mishu, Musarrat Rahman, Aishath Shamla (Maldives), Ezmat Naz Rima, Lipi Khandker and lastly Anu Shrestha (Nepal).
Kaniz Almas was the main hairstylist on the second day and the designers were - Farah Anjum Bari, Shah Rukh Amin, Afsana Ferdousi, Sukajit Daengchai (Thailand), Faiza Ahmed, Rupo Shams, Tasfia Ahmed, Kencho Wangmo (Bhutan), Shaibal Saha and lastly Swati Kalsi (India).
The concluding day shined the most. The main hairstylist was Farzana Shakil. The designers were - Edric Ong (Malaysia), Kuhu, Emdad Haque, Maria Sultana, Rifat Rahman, Merdi Sihombing (Indonesia) and Faiza Samee (Pakistan).
Lastly models walked on queue wearing the wardrobe of the renowned designer and president of Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB) Maheen Khan. She used the ancient Mughal architectural motifs.
At the end, the president of FDCB Maheen Khan said, "We tried to represent our country's dresses to abroad. We organised this event thinking about our artisans and weavers. Through this event, foreigners can get an idea of our fashionable wardrobe."
