Dhaka: TRESemmé is launching one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year for Bangladesh – TRESemmé Bangladesh Fashion Week 2019. It will take place from February 23 to 25 at International Convention City Bashundhara, Hall 1, Purbachal Express Hwy, Dhaka.

For the event, TRESemmé is partnering with Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB), a non-profit organisation that aims to promote Bangladeshi culture and fashion internationally by creating a market for "deshi" products.

19 local and 11 foreign designers will showcase their work in the fashion week over three consecutive days.

Nafees Anwar, Director, Beauty and Personal Care, Unilever Bangladesh, announced the event. Maheen Khan, President, FDCB, also spoke at the press conference at Le Méridien Dhak on February 16. Le Méridien Dhaka is the Hospitality Partner of the event.

The global hair care brand TRESemmé’s products have been used in the backstage for many major fashion events, including the New York Fashion Week at which TRESemmé is an official sponsor.

With the same spirit, TRESemmé has been sponsoring many fashion events in Bangladesh since its launch back in 2015.

This year, TRESemmé aims to revolutionise the Bangladeshi fashion scene by launching TRESemmé Bangladesh Fashion Week 2019, the biggest fashion event of the country.

“TRESemmé aims to set a permanent fashion fixture in Bangladesh's cultural calendar and influence the fashion revolution with this event,” said, Nafees Anwar, Director, Beauty and Personal Care, Unilever Bangladesh.

TRESemmé will also work closely with top hair stylists of the country to set the hairstyling trend of the year, the same way the Global TRESemmé stylists inspire hair trends.

With a coveted panel of both international and national designers, this year's event is certainly something to look out for.”
