Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines becomes the Title Sponsor of ‘Biman Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair 2019’ organised by Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB). The international tourism fair will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital from April 18-20.
The national flag carrier and TOAB signed a MoU for the sponsorship of the fair yesterday at Biman’s head office Balaka. Shakil Meraj, General Manager – Public Relations, Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Taufiq Uddin Ahmed, President, TOAB signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
Shamsul Karim, General Manager – Sales, Salauddin Ahmed and General Manager – Distribution from Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Md Iftekhar Alam Bhuiyan, Vice President, Taslim Amin Shovon, Director – Fair and Trade and Tanvir Ahmed, Advisor from TOAB were also present on the occasion.
Shakil Meraj said, “TOAB is one of the stakeholders of Bangladesh’s tourism industry. Biman is proud to be the title sponsor of the biggest tourism fair organised by TOAB. During the fair, Biman will offer discounts on its flights to popular travel destinations for tour lovers. Visitors can also win complimentary air tickets in the raffle draw at the fair.”
National tourism organisations of many countries, airlines, tour operators, hotels and resorts, finance companies and many more will showcase their products and services in 160 stalls and 15 pavilions at Biman Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair 2019.
All the participating organisations will offer attractive tour packages and discounts on travel during the three day fair.
The tourism ministry of India as well as national tourism organisations of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan will participate in the event. Tourism representatives of India, Bhutan, United Arab Emirates, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Vietnam will also be present during the fair.
Abdul Hamid, President of Bangladesh will attend the inaugural ceremony of the fair as the Chief Guest. Md Mahbub Ali, State Minister, Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry will also be present on the occasion as the Special Guest.
