Dhaka: Etihad Airways has introduced a new protective wear for First and Business Class passengers onboard.
The new face covering -- a snood -- Etihad is offering can be worn around the neck like a scarf and when close to others, pull it up over their mouth and nose to protect themselves and those around them.
The snoods are made out of lightweight, breathable and stretchy jersey fabric, so passengers can slip it on and off as needed.
It is reusable, so passengers can use it post-travel.
It is treated with “MicrobeBARRIER” fabric treatment. This is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial treatment, laboratory tested and proven to reduce the presence of germs in fabrics.
This allows the snoods to be reusable and washable, meaning they can be used multiple times after passengers have enjoyed their Etihad flight.
It will only be available in premium classes (Business Class and First Class).
The snoods are part of the Etihad Wellness package that the airline is pushing both on the ground and onboard, as it convinces passengers to travel and take to the air again.
