Representatives from CAAB, BD Air Force and airlines are seen celebrating Int’l Air Traffic Controllers Day through a ceremony held at HSIA on Oct 20
Dhaka: The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh celebrated the Int’l Air Traffic Controllers Day on October 20 through a ceremony held at 11:30 am at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.
Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman, Chairman, CAAB attended the programme as the Chief Guest while Air Commodore Md Aminul Islam, CAAB Member (ATM) presided over the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, CAAB Chairman said, “Such an initiative to highlight the responsible work of controlling safe flight operations deserves much praise. The aviation industry contributes plenty of revenue to the country. Therefore, all those involved in the sector must work together responsibly for the betterment of the country and its people.”
Group Captain (rtd) Mafizur Rahman, Managing Director, NOVOAIR; Yusuf Walid, CEO, Galaxy; and Captain Shikder Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, CEO, US-Bangla Airlines were also present on the occasion along with all the past and present controllers of CAAB, and representatives from the airlines and Bangladesh Air Force.
