3-day Indonesian trade, cultural fair begins on 26 April

For the first time in Bangladesh, the Indonesian trade expo and cultural festival INDONESIAFAIR 2018 will be held in Dhaka on 26. Around 45 Indonesian exhibitors will showcase diverse consumer and industrial goods made in Indonesia at the Le Meridien Hotel, Dhaka on 26-28 April.
The INDONESIAFAIR 2018 is aimed at increasing the visibility of Indonesia in Bangladesh, as well as encouraging Indonesian entrepreneurs and companies to expand their businesses to Bangladesh and invest here.
A delegation of around 100 business people will be arriving in Dhaka to participate in the INDONESIAFAIR 2018.
INDONESIAFAIR 2018 is a showcase of Indonesia in a comprehensive format. A number of exciting events and programs are organized during the three‑day event from 26 April.
It encompasses exhibition of Indonesian products and consumer goods, services, culture, and tourism. The exhibition comprising business and networking programs, trade exhibition and fair, fashion shows and cultural performances, talk shows, film screening, and selfie competition.
INDONESIAFAIR 2018 is especially organized to promote quality products made in Indonesia that are famous in the global market. The traditional and world‑famous Indonesian Batik, fashion, jewellery, handicrafts, foods and beverages like biscuits, automotives and spices will be available at the Fair.
The high profile companies such as Pertamina, Angkasa Pura 1, Adaro Energy, Palm Oil Board, Garuda Food International, PT INKA, and many others will present at INDONESIAFAIR 2018. Various interesting tourism destinations in Indonesia will also be displayed at INDONESIAFAIR 2018. There will be 3 travel agents that will offer tourist destination across Indonesia.
The Fair will remain open for the public (free entrance) from 10.00 AM until 09.00 PM on 26‑28 April at the Entresol Hall (ground floor) of Le Meridien in Dhaka.
The fair is organized with the support of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade and the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, the Indonesia‑Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also sponsored by Indonesian companies Pertamina, Angkasa Pura 1, Adaro Energy, INKA, and JapfaComfeed.
A number of exciting events and programs are scheduled during the three‑day event. INDONESIAFAIR 2018 will organise two fashion shows that show off Batik and modest fashion that are widely popular in Indonesia. Famous Indonesian fashion designer, Lita Berlianti, will display her latest collection on 27 and 28 April.
Visitors will also enjoy a number of Indonesian traditional dance performances during the event. The Embassy of Indonesia in collaboration with Dhakabashi Organization will be presenting traditional dances from six different regions of Indonesia, namely Aceh, Papua, West Java, Jakarta, Kalimantan, and North Sumatera.
