Air India among world's top five punctual airlines

According to Cirium's
latest On-Time Performance report, Air India achieved an on-time arrival rate
of 86.85 percent across 15,135 monitored flights during the month.
The airline also recorded
an on-time departure rate of 86.23 percent and a flight completion factor of
99.7 percent.
Air India said, it has
introduced several initiatives to improve schedule reliability, including
faster aircraft turnaround, enhanced network monitoring, improved departure
punctuality, and stronger operational coordination.
The airline has also
strengthened contingency planning to minimize disruptions caused by weather,
airspace restrictions, and airport congestion.
As part of one of the
aviation industry's largest fleet renewal programs, the airline has ordered 600
Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
It has also inducted
three Boeing 787-9 aircraft over the past six months, while additional Boeing 787-9s
and Airbus A350-1000s are scheduled to join the fleet later this year.
The airline is also simultaneously
refurbishing its existing widebody fleet, with more than half expected to
feature upgraded cabins by the end of 2026.
