Dhaka Airport's Third Terminal operation agreement likely by early September

Air Commodore Abu Sayeed
Mehboob Khan, CAAB's Member (Operations and Planning), said the agreement would
cover only the third terminal, with the Japanese operator having no role in
managing the airport's existing First and Second terminals.
"The agreement with
the Japanese company will be signed before the inauguration," Mehboob Khan
said to the media at the CAAB headquarters, adding that the authority is aiming
to inaugurate the Third Terminal on December 16, subject to the completion of
all remaining formalities.
He said construction work
is nearing completion and the final decision on the inauguration will be taken
after the agreement is signed.
During the briefing,
Mehboob Khan also said CAAB is stepping up enforcement against unauthorized
drone operations around the airport due to security concerns, urging drone
operators to comply with the relevant regulations.
CAAB Chairman Air Vice
Marshal Mostafa Mahmood Siddiq, among others, was also present at the briefing.
