Oman Air to launch Muscat–Abu Dhabi flights from July 9

Dhaka: Oman Air has announced a new direct service between Muscat and Abu Dhabi, starting July 9, as the airline further expands its presence across the GCC region.
In an official statement, the Omani national carrier said it will operate daily flights on the route, offering passengers a convenient travel option between the two capitals along with onward connections through Abu Dhabi, one of the region's leading aviation hubs.
Abu Dhabi becomes Oman Air's 49th destination overall and its tenth within the GCC, reflecting the airline's ongoing push to strengthen regional connectivity, tourism, trade, and investment.
Oman Air Chief Executive Con Korfiatis said Abu Dhabi is a natural addition to the network, given its importance as a regional business and travel hub and its role in strengthening the connectivity ecosystem covering both Oman and the wider GCC.
He added that as the airline continues to optimize and grow its network, the focus remains on adding destinations that deliver long-term value for guests, support tourism and trade, and contribute to Oman's broader economic goals.
Abu Dhabi is the latest in a series of new destinations Oman Air added this year. The airline launched services to Taif in January, followed by Singapore, Tashkent, and Sochi. Meanwhile, a new direct service between Dubai and Salalah is also set to begin from July.
